For some reason, some of the craziest iPhone cases seem to originate from Japan. And this latest iPhone 5 case is no exception. New from phone accessory company Strapya is this fun binder iPhone 5 case, which instantly transforms your expensive smartphone into a cheap clipboard. Awesome, hey?
But in all seriousness, this case could actually be a handy addition for some iPhone users. In addition to protecting your Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone 5, you get this handy clip around the back that you can use for a number of things.
The most obvious addition would be a notepad, but you could use it to clip on your bus or train pass (especially useful in Japan), a family photo, a tissue packet if you have a cold, or a few C-notes if you left your money clip home.
Regrettably, the iPhone 5 is a little too wide for the very cool Frictionless Capture Cards, but it shouldn?t be difficult to find a notepad that fits. Of course, there?s no shortage of note taking apps out there ? but for folks who are a little more tactile, this clipboard case might be a fun addition.
It?s priced at 1980 yen (or about $25) and is currently available for preorder on Strapya. [Via BCN Ranking]
